Welcome to The White Rose SL. We’re glad you’ve chosen to join a community inspired by the courage of the original White Rose—young people who risked everything to speak out against fascism and injustice. While we no longer need to distribute paper leaflets in the dead of night, the heart of their mission lives on in the digital world. Here, our words, ideas, and shared commitment to truth become our modern pamphlets. Whether you participate under your real name or a pseudonym, your voice matters, and your presence strengthens the collective resolve to resist authoritarianism in all its forms.
As part of this group, you’re joining others who are deeply concerned about the rise of extremism, violence, and threats to freedom both in the United States and around the world. We gather to think, write, discuss, and imagine ways to use the “mighty pen—or keyboard” to push back against injustice and to support one another in the process. Our meetings are held on Wednesdays at noon SLT, and you’re welcome to participate at whatever level feels right for you. Thank you for stepping into this space of solidarity, courage, and hope.
